Description :

EWRF (Education, Welfare & Research Foundation), a non-profit organization, was found in 1978 by 37 young professionals and grassroots community activists. These like minded individuals were brought together by a common belief that the community needs compensatory action to resolve the problems and issues relating to the deteriorating socio-economic positions of the Indians. Determined to make a difference, they felt it was necessary to institute some from of social action to alleviate some of the problems faced by community.

       Vision To reduce under achievers to 30% by 2015 and provide alternative education for 50% of drops at SPM level Mission

To promote education as  a key for advancement in our community and together with education, to generate an awareness of self-worth, discipline and greater participation in the social and economic development of the nation. To provide high quality service and programmes  in education that promotes a meaningful and purposeful life in our community.

Lower acadenic background( lower than 40 marks)Disciplinary problemsLow self esteemShowing tendencies in crime involvements. Core projects }  Skills Training Initiatives(STI) : Coordinating the placement of underachieving students in Government Skills Training Institutes}  Centre For Career, Counseling and Guidance(C3G) : Counseling for students to help them make decisions in choosing their career paths}  Total Immersion Camp(TIC)/Total Empowerment Camp (TEC) : Intensive 21 days camp for UPSR students. The camp aims to create a smoother transition to the remove classes in secondary schools.}  English For Juniors (E4J) : To improve the proficiency levels of English of the Standard 1 students. }  Civil Society Intervention(CSI) : An innovative programme to prevent crime among the youth.     }  Empowering Challenged Kids(ECK) : To totally immerse the students group in basic English, Malay and Mathematics
